Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the LockAway mobile application (“the app”) published by Ace Global Studio (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using LockAway, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use LockAway for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by applicable law.

2. The service

LockAway helps you block distracting apps and build habits. It runs locally on your device and does not require an account. Features depend on permissions you grant (such as Screen Time / Family Controls on iOS, or Accessibility and Usage Access on Android). The app is a productivity tool and is not a medical, clinical, or professional service.

3. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the blocking rules, schedules, and habits you configure.
• You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the app, us, or others.
• You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for any backups, since LockAway stores your data locally and does not sync to the cloud.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

LockAway is free to download and offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks additional features (such as unlimited habits, advanced blocking, and full stats). Pricing is shown in the app before purchase.

• Purchases and subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account and are subject to that store's terms.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your store account settings.
• Premium status is tied to your store account and can be restored via Settings → Restore Purchases.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies; we do not process payments directly.

5. Free version limits

The free version may limit certain features (for example, the number of habits you can create). These limits may change over time as the app evolves.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, design, and content (excluding your own data) are owned by Ace Global Studio and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

LockAway is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that blocking will work in every situation or against every method of circumventing it. The app is a tool to support your focus and habits, not a guarantee of any particular result.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ace Global Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Because LockAway stores data only on your device, you are responsible for that data and any loss of it (for example, after uninstalling). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using LockAway at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or its features if you breach these Terms or misuse the app.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place of establishment of Ace Global Studio, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
