Privacy Policy

LockAway is built to be private by design. Your habits, your blocked apps, your focus sessions, and your selfie checks never leave your phone. This policy explains, in plain terms, the limited data the app does process and the rights you have.
The short version: LockAway has no user accounts and no backend. We can't see your personal content because it's never sent to us. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous, aggregated analytics and crash reports used to keep the app working — and you can opt out.
1. Who we are
LockAway (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is published by Ace Global Studio. For any privacy question or request, contact us at contact@fit-coach.app. For users in the European Union, Ace Global Studio acts as the data controller for the limited processing described below.
2. Data that stays on your device
The following is created and stored only on your device, in a local database. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
- Your habits, streaks, completions, reminders, and calendar history.
- Your app-blocking rules, schedules, and focus sessions.
- Photos taken for the “selfie check” feature, which are processed and kept locally.
- Your in-app settings and preferences.
Because there is no cloud sync, this data exists only on your phone. If you delete the app, it is permanently removed.
3. Data processed off your device
To keep LockAway stable and to understand how features are used in aggregate, the app sends limited technical data to the trusted service providers below. This data is not used to identify you personally and is not linked to your name, email, or the personal content listed in Section 2.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
4. Permissions LockAway requests
- Screen Time / Family Controls (iOS) and Accessibility & Usage Access (Android) — used solely to block the apps you choose, on your device. The contents of those apps are never read or transmitted.
- Camera — used only for the optional selfie-check feature. Photos stay on the device.
- Notifications — used to deliver the habit reminders you set.
5. Legal basis for processing (EU/EEA users)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interest — for limited crash reporting and aggregated analytics needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.
- Performance of a contract — for processing your in-app purchases and providing Premium features.
- Consent — where required, for analytics; you can withdraw it at any time in the app's settings.
6. Data retention
On-device data is kept until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Aggregated analytics and crash data held by our providers are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above, in line with their respective retention policies.
7. Your rights
Because the personal content in Section 2 lives only on your device, you control it directly — you can edit or delete it in the app at any time, and uninstalling removes it entirely. For the limited off-device data in Section 3, and depending on your jurisdiction (including the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email contact@fit-coach.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Children
LockAway is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will address it.
9. International transfers
Our analytics provider stores data on EU servers. Some providers (e.g. crash reporting, the app stores) may process data outside your country. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are relied upon.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
